They are "Girlzone", "The Kingz", and "2 Directions".
If our whole desk group is working well, on task, and is well behaved, then we receive points.
Which ever desk group has the most points at the end of the term, they will receive a reward.
Ben 10 came to our school this week. He showed us some of his moves and actions that he does. We had our pictures taken with Ben 10.
Thanks very much to all those people who responded to this. It will be very good to meet you all.
Students should come along to these prepared with their Goals in Reading/Writing, Mathematics, and a General Goal for the year.
This website has some good ideas on how to set good goals.

Goal Setting interviews have been booked and will be sent home today. Thank you very much for an awesome response. I believe once again, Room One has the highest number of returns for this event!
I look forward to meeting you all.
In Room One, we have been making some Toy Land Yachts in class.
We planned what we were going to do, we designed our land craft, and then we used some simple materials to make a working model of it.
These are some of the ideas we came up with.
Every Monday to Thursday we have Reading rotation. These are a part of being able to teach students at their levels, and they can learn at the level that is right for them.
Room One has a range of activities during Reading rotation. These might include working with the Teacher, Independent Reading, Literacy Games (Scrabble, Boggle), Spelling Square, Research projects on the laptops, and Plays from the School Journals. With the addition of the Interactive Whiteboard, there have been a variety of word games available, such as Spiderman 2 - Web of Words.
Some students working with the Interactive Whiteboard, and others working on an All Blacks research project on the student laptops.
In Maths this week we had a quick little warm up with a large number of nets of potential cubes. For some of them we could work it out just by thinking internally, but a couple of them were a bit harder. We decided making them was going to be the best way to check if they made a cube or not.
One of our students, CP, made a few cubes/boxes/ and glued them together to make this very cool net. I love the creativity kids have sometimes!
There is a school survey that the school Board are wishing to get your thoughts and opinions on. Please take a couple of minutes to let us know your views on a few questions.
